Flight changes
Dates moved? Call us and an agent will read you the fare rules on your ticket, price the change including any airline fee and fare difference, and only proceed once you have agreed to the total.
What can usually be changed
- Travel dates and flight times on the same route
- Origin or destination, where the fare permits a routing change
- Cabin, by paying the fare difference and any reissue charge
- A single leg of a return or multi-city itinerary
- Rebooking after an airline schedule change or cancellation
The fare rules decide, not us. Some tickets change freely, some change for a fee, and some cannot be changed at all. An agent will read you the rule on your specific ticket before anything happens.

What a change can cost

If the new flight prices lower than the original, whether you get anything back depends entirely on the airline’s fare rules. Many fares give no residual value. We will tell you which applies to yours.
How a change is processed
We pull up your ticket
Give us your Worlds Travel confirmation or the airline booking reference and the lead passenger’s surname.
We read you the rule
Whether the ticket is changeable, what the airline charges, and any deadline. If it cannot be changed, you will hear that first, not last.
We price the new flight
We check live availability for the dates you want and calculate the fare difference and taxes.
You approve one figure
Airline fee, fare difference and our handling fee, added up. Nothing is charged until you say yes.
We reissue and confirm
The airline reissues the ticket and you receive an updated confirmation by email. Check the dates and names again.
Change FAQs
How late can I change?
Most airlines require the change before the scheduled departure of the flight you are changing. Miss the departure without changing it and the ticket may lose all value. Call as early as you can.
The airline moved my flight. Do I pay to change it?
Usually not. When the airline makes a significant schedule change it will normally rebook or refund you under its own policy. We will apply that policy for tickets we issued.
Can I change just the return leg?
Often, yes — but repricing a single leg can reprice the whole itinerary depending on the fare. We will quote the actual outcome, not an estimate.
Can I change the passenger name?
Transferring a ticket to a different person is almost never permitted. Genuine spelling corrections are a different matter — see Reservations.
